Franky Braun (real name Frank Braun)
Who is Franky?
Franky s a German music producer living in the Messenia region of Greece with his wife Anna Braun and their dog Tarzan. He pursues music projects, runs a music label, composes songs, and writes lyrics. He also works as an agent for young artists. Franky Braun sees himself as a politically minded person of the present day. His values are based on the values of the French Revolution and humanism, and are characterized by democracy and freedom.
Work as a Music Producer
After his professional career, Frank Braun resumed his creative work under the stage name Franky Braun. This reflects his motto, „You can’t change the wind, but you can adjust your sails.“ He had already been working creatively during his studies as a co-founder of the private radio station Fantasy Dance FM in Belgium. Located near the border, the station broadcast its program as far as the Ruhr area in Germany and was considered a „pirate station“ there. Afterward, he worked as a freelance journalist for West German Broadcasting (WDR) in the radio and television sectors. This enabled him to finance his studies.
His current project is the launch of the FOR-Band (Franky Open Row Band). This band project musically creates an „open series“—open to the music itself (songs from the last 80 years of musical development, each reimagined and reinterpreted). Open to the lyrics, such as personal stories, events, and fictional narratives. They can also address current social and political issues. Open and optimistic about the future, grounded in the present and the past. FOR is value-oriented and transcends generations.
The release of their first album, „Born Burn Forward,“ will take place in the first half of 2027. Franky Braun has secured David A. Griffiths for the musical collaboration. An award-winning, classically trained music producer (Main Music) and arranger from Wales, UK, with over 25 years of experience creating world-class song arrangements and productions, Griffiths is a graduate of Oxford University. He has worked with producers such as Tony Visconti (David Bowie) and Simon Napier-Bell (Wham!) and has collaborated with Neil McLellan (The Prodigy) and Hugo Nicholson (Primal Scream, Radiohead).
Political activities
Franky Braun’s central political goal is the establishment of a European state, the United States of Europe. He maintains a website to gather all supporters of such a future form of government. According to his appeal, only a grassroots evolution can achieve this goal politically.
The central, politically charged song for 2027 is a text for the European anthem, intended as the national anthem of the United States of Europe (UNE). Lyrics by Franky Braun.
The anthem will be sung in the commissioned version by Herbert Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic, based on the official anthem (Europalied). A contest with a rock version is also being considered.

Childhood, Youth, Education, studies
He lived as a typical child of the 1960s in a working-class family. His father was a lathe operator; his mother, who is still alive, worked as a domestic helper for wealthy families. He spent his childhood in Roetgen, a town in the border region with the Netherlands and Belgium. He remained there throughout his youth until graduating from high school in 1980. He was significantly influenced by his work with the youth organization Grenzlandjugend (Borderland Youth) from 1976 onwards, under the Catholic priest and rector Karl Loven. Loven was one of the first clergymen to engage with film after being sentenced to death in Nazi Germany for erecting a summit cross in Tyrol. His film „Law Without Mercy“ reflects this. Loven fostered his creativity and autonomy. After his compulsory military service (1980 to 1981), he studied law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne, successfully completing his first state examination and subsequent legal traineeship in 1991. Based on his exams, he was admitted to the bar (Cologne Bar Association).
Franky Braun has two daughters from his first marriage and is currently married to Anna Braun.
Career
After completing his legal training, he initially worked (1991-1994) as an assistant to the managing director for the German Agency for Space Affairs (DARA GmbH). In addition to directly supporting the management, he was responsible for preparing and conducting meetings of the management board, supervisory board, and scientific advisory board. As a representative of the DARA delegation, he participated in the World Space Congress in Washington in 1993. Through his work at that time, he also met Jesco von Puttkamer (22.09.1933-27.12.2012), then head of Cape Canaveral and a member of Wernher von Braun’s team, as well as Ernst Messerschmid, the first German astronaut. He ghostwrote articles on space travel for the then managing director, Dr. Wolfgang Grillo (October 7, 1939 – March 8, 1923). On April 26, 1993, he was part of the administrative support team for the launch of the Columbia Shuttle’s D2 mission (STS 55) from Cape Canaveral. Dr. Grillo introduced Frank Braun to working in the political arena.
This was followed by two operational positions in senior management at privately owned franchise companies (1994–1997). First, he worked for the Studienkreis (a German student association). As their legal advisor, he was appointed to the legal committee of the German Franchise Association, where he served until its dissolution as part of an organizational restructuring. The lawyers working there (approximately 15 people) represented all those who, at that time, were legally engaged with the still-emerging field of law and its associated distribution structure. Braun was thus able to influence the development of the distribution model, particularly in the area of the code of ethics for franchisors.
This was followed by work as a restructuring expert for the Vobis Microcomputer AG franchise chain (computer retailer), a role Braun assumed after the company’s acquisition by the Metro Group. He was recruited there after his presentation „The Restructuring of Franchise Systems“ at the German Franchise Fair.
Subsequently, he founded the medium-sized law firm Braun & Partner in Cologne. Due to the market situation at the time and the limited number of truly knowledgeable lawyers, this mid-sized firm represented world-renowned franchisors. Specifically, the firm represented SUBWAY (fast-food restaurants) and the SUBWAY delivery organization IPC (Independent Purchasing Cooperative) in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Frank Braun’s direct contact was the then co-founder and managing director Fred de Luca (October 3, 1945 – September 14, 2015).
His clients until his departure from the firm included BNI, a franchise system for referral marketing founded in California in 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner. BNI serves more than 355,000 customers worldwide through 11,800 chapters run by franchisees.
Frank Braun published on various legal topics, such as the pre-contractual disclosure of franchisees, Corporate law and gave lectures, including one at the Passau Labor Law Conference in 1999. In 2022, Franky Braun ended his active work at the law firm.
Mindset FOR-Band Marketing 2027/2028

- FOR-Band’s music is not a one-way street. Listeners are invited to contribute their own stories and sound ideas to help shape the band’s vibe and sound. This is what sets their music apart from the uniformity of mass-produced music.
